First Street Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of Artifex Studio (Mexico), presenting Egg tempera works of five Mexican artists: Alicia Amador, Alejandra Barrera, Marta Hernández, Rebeca Martínez and Oscar Ojeda.

The exhibition dates are September 9 – September 30. Please join us on Thursday, September 9 from 5 – 8 p.m. for a reception.

The interest in an old technique like Egg tempera is the pathway Artifex Studio has chosen. Since seven years ago, the director, Oscar Ojeda, has tried to include some other artistic activities like dance, drama, performance and music.

The artists relate their personal thinking about a world of memories, taking advantage of the several expressive possibilities which Egg tempera encompasses.
